Hey! I’m no “Chomo!” A “Chomo” is what jail and prison inmates, and many ignorant or stupid people call
anyone suspected or convicted of child molesting! The diabolical fact is there are many who are falsely
accused, and too many who are wrongly convicted of molesting a child! I am one who was falsely
accused and wrongly convicted! l am not a child molester nor a pedophile nor any other kind of
sexual pervert!
Some of my colleagues in the child-care profession became convinced that I fit the “profile” of child
molesters. Even my truthful denial, taking and passing the sexual history polygraph examination, somehow
deepens their stubborn belief that I fit that "profile!" They cling to some psychobabble that I am "in denial" and
refuse to examine the facts. It shouldn't surprise anyone that real child molesters often do deny the facts of
their perversion! But isn't it unreasonable to assume that anyone who denies being a child molester must be
one!
What really happened? My colleagues breached professional confidentiality and began to gossip about me;
then they slandered me among themselves and others; They thus began a modern-day witch hunt in which
they led a non-verbal, handicapped child to produce "permissible hearsay evidence!" The sheriff of my
West Central Indiana community then told the local newspapers that I “fit the profile.” So people in my
community who didn't even know me, not to mention those who should have known better, began to presume
that I "must be" what I am not, a "Chomo!"
I could not afford the kind of aggressive and competent defense attorney needed to defend against
the presumption of guilt created by incompetent, amateurish profiling! After several months in jail, and
facing the very real possibility of twenty or more years in prison, the Spirit of Jesus told me to trust Him and to
"submit to the governing authorities for the sake of all." Therefore, I agreed to a plea agreement. As a result,
I spent a total of three years and four months in jail and prison. A year of probation was illegally extended for
seventeen months of court-ordered "relapse prevention group therapy," which felt like emotional radiation and
chemotherapy for the cancer I knew I did not have! And today I experience the continuing shuns and
slanderous gossip of many of my neighbors. Hey! I’m no “chomo!” I do not fit the “profile” of a
"chomo!"
My true profile? In Christ, I am a caregiver! Caring for the needy and wounded has been and still is my
primary way of worshiping God! In James 1: 27 God says: “A religion that is pure and stainless in the
sight of God the Father is this: to take care of orphans and widows in their suffering, and to keep
oneself unstained by the world.” (ISVNT) In 2nd Timothy 3: 12 & 13, God says "all who want to live a
godly life in union with Christ Jesus will be persecuted. But evil people and impostors will go from bad
to worse as they deceive others (by profiling?) and are themselves deceived.” (ISVNT) There is enough
obvious and tangible evidence to convict me of being a genuine Christian! Glory to God!
When I became more fully aware of how many illegal actions had been taken to convict and correct me for
things I did not do, I was angry and wanted to sue the people who acted illegally against me. But
Jesus said "NO!" I'd be lying if I tried to pretend that obeying Him has been or is easy. Jesus told me to
present His pro-scribed defense as found in 1st Peter: "For this is the will of God, that by doing good
you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men …But even if you should suffer for
righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. 'And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.' But
sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks
you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; having a good conscience, that
when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be
ashamed. For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil." (NKJV).
I still reside in Parke County Indiana with no plans to leave! I've modified my care giving and nurturing. Most of
my work as a Bible teacher and Christian counselor is indirect via the Internet and telephone. Locally, I work
directly with adults only, a few of whom are parents and/or grandparents; but I only rarely have contact with their
children and their friends, and that never without other adults all around. I even avoid using the public
restrooms in my community, including those in my home church if children are in the building By avoiding
children now -- which "chomos" simply cannot do -- I do try to avoid the appearance of evil.
Near the end of 2007, the Lord spoke to me again: He said "No longer allow your good to be spoken of
as evil." My alleged victim has passed her eighteenth birthday and I have no idea whether or not she is even
anywhere near my community now. Other children who knew me in the late nineties are now young adults and
able to hear and consider the truth as I now begin to publish it.
Whisperer's, gossips, backbiters and slanderers -- my false accusers, the Lord has commanded
me to confront you with the truth with love. I ask all who read this to pray for me and for them.

Can you find the following statement in the Kelly Michaels' finding? Apparently my court-appointed public
defender never heard about it! And he couldn't spare the time to look for it!
"Finding both the general acceptance of the theory that a coercive or suggestive investigatory interview
can distort a child's memory and that such interviews took place in Michaels, the Court determined that the
standard of fairness under the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment required a
pretrial taint hearing be held to determine the reliability of the children's testimony. Michaels 136 N.J.
at 316. Not every defendant would be entitled to such a hearing; only those who made an initial showing of
unreliability. Id. at 306. The Court emphasized that competent and reliable evidence remains the
foundation of a fair trial. Id."
